i. project name

technology and application of transient harmonic defense capability improvement of new energy in new power system construction

ii. nominee and nomination opinion

based on practical problems and needs, the project focuses on overcoming the technical problems of improving the ability of transient harmonic defense of new energy in new power system construction: to establish a systematic harmonic stability analysis theory and fine modeling simulation method of new energy to achieve grid transient harmonics; rapid quantitative assessment of grid transient harmonic wave risk; proposed an optimal phase-selective closing control strategy with close coordination of multiple elements, and developed the china's first phase-selective closing device with remanence assessment function to weaken the transient harmonic impact intensity at the source and reduce its scope; proposed a control technology that significantly improves the operating performance of new energy in a harmonic environment and actively manages power quality, and significantly improves the adaptability of the new energy transmission system to grid incorporation; developed a power grid harmonic risk assessment and auxiliary decision-making platform to form a temporary new energy service dispatching platform, and form quasi-real-time assessment and rapid response capability of harmonic risk.

the project achievement has been applied in key projects such as sichuan-tibet interconnection and tibet-central china interconnection, new energy stations and new energy equipment manufacturers in the three districts of sichuan, and directly supported sichuan province to formulate the operation procedures for the prevention and control of transient harmonics in the new energy transmission system, which provides a strong guarantee for the safe and stable operation of the power grid and the transmission and consumption of new energy.

the project has released 1 electric power industry standard and 1 group standard; 13 authorized invention patents; 3 registered soft works; published 30 papers, including 16 sci retrievals; and published 1 monograph. after identification, the overall research achievement of the project has reached the international advanced level, and some has reached the international leading level.

iii. project introduction:

in recent years, with the continuous advancement of the construction of the national clean energy demonstration province and the national high-quality clean energy base, the new energy represented by photovoltaic and wind power will gradually replace hydropower, which is nearing the end of development, and new energy will be the major force of newly installed capacity for power generation. however, due to geographical conditions and resource endowments, sichuan's advantageous new energy sources are concentrated in the "three districts and one city" area, and its large-scale development presents the "double high" characteristics of regional power grids. the transient harmonic shock represented by the no-load closing excitation inrush current of the large-scale main transformer will adversely affect the new energy grid-incorporated converters in a large range, resulting in the deterioration of power quality, instability of operation control or even disconnection in a large area.

in order to improve the ability of new energy transient harmonic defense and support the construction of new power system in sichuan, the project started from three parts: analysis method, defense technology and application platform to systematically carry out related research. at the analysis method level, based on the impedance analysis method of the grid-incorporated converter and the electromagnetic transient fine modeling technology, an analysis method combining frequency domain theory and time domain simulation is formed to realize the fine analysis of the transient harmonic impact of the new energy transmission system. . defense technology: on the harmonic source side, by optimizing the circuit breaker phase selection and closing control strategy, the transient harmonic impact is greatly weakened and its influence scope is reduced; on the new energy side, the operation control performance guarantee and power quality active governance are respectively studied to improve the adaptability of new energy generating units to the grid. in terms of application platform, the project developed an auxiliary decision-making platform for new energy transmission system transient harmonic risk dispatch operation to provide continuous technical support for preventing and resolving systemic transient harmonic risks and ensuring clean energy transmission and consumption.
