recently, china energy research association (cers) announced the list of winners for the 2023 outstanding young energy technology workers, and assistant researcher wang bin from the department of electrical engineering and applied electronics (eea) was selected.
wang bin is an associate researcher and graduate supervisor of eea at tsinghua university. he also serves as the deputy director of the distribution network and new energy institute at tsinghua sichuan energy internet research institute. additionally, he is the executive deputy director of the tianfu emei plan (formerly the thousand talents program of sichuan province), a specially appointed expert of the tsinghua-hong kong virtual power plant technology joint research center, a senior member of ieee, and the deputy secretary-general of the distribution network and distributed power generation committee (preparation) of the chinese society for electrical engineering. over the past 18 years, wang bin has continuously worked in the field of power system dispatching automation, dedicating himself to system research and development as well as practical engineering applications. his major research achievements in various stages have been widely promoted and applied. he has previously received one national science and technology progress award and six provincial-level science and technology first prizes. he is also recognized as an outstanding young energy technology worker by cers and has been awarded the youth science and technology award by the chinese society for electrical engineering.
cers energy innovation award: this award is included in the “catalog of social science and technology awards” released by the state science and technology award office (no. 0285) and consists of academic innovation award, management innovation award, technical innovation award, and outstanding young energy technology worker award. the outstanding young energy technology worker award aims to commend young professionals who have made outstanding achievements in scientific and technological innovation, management innovation, and academic research in the field of energy.
