on the afternoon of april 18, the department of electrical engineering and applied electronics (eea) held a meeting on the new policies and requirements for intellectual property and achievement transformation in meeting room 3-102 of the west main building. wang yan, director of the technology transfer institute of tsinghua university, and teachers yang shusheng, wei xinxin, and zhang dan were invited to provide guidance. more than 50 people, including yu xinjie, secretary of the party committee of eea, gao wensheng, executive vice president of the beijing institute, lu zongxiang, executive vice president of the sichuan institute, and teachers and secretaries of the teaching and research teams of the “one department and two institutes”, participated in the online and offline meeting. the meeting was chaired by lu chao, deputy dean of eea.
at the meeting, yu xinjie, on behalf of eea, warmly welcomed the arrival of the teachers from the technology transfer institute, and explained the background and significance of organizing this meeting. he hoped that through this meeting, eea’s teachers could fully realize the importance of intellectual property rights and the issues that need to be paid attention to in the transformation of achievements, including standardized management throughout the process. wang yan made a comprehensive report on intellectual property and achievement transformation work, including the identification, attribution, agreement and use of intellectual property, analysis of achievement transformation models, distribution of rights and interests, risk warnings and typical cases, and mainly introduced the optimized service content and system layout of the technology transfer institute.
wei xinxin and zhang dan from the technology transfer institute answered questions related to intellectual property, and yang shusheng provided suggestions for the difficulties in achievement transformation. at the same time, he also introduced the new technology transfer management platform that will soon be launched and put into operation.
during the discussion and exchange session, teachers on-site and online raised issues such as difficulties in remote application for local institutions and further optimization of some procedures. the technology transfer institute had in-depth discussions with the attending teachers, and the atmosphere on-site was invigorative. finally, lu chao made a summary and expressed gratitude at the meeting.
this event has enabled the faculty and staff of eea to have a more comprehensive and detailed understanding of the new policies and requirements regarding intellectual property rights and achievement transformation, and to place greater emphasis on the protection of intellectual property rights and the standardization of the entire process of achievement transformation in future work.
