on the morning of march 14, 8 people from hainan power grid co., ltd., including wang zhiyong, general manager, yang zibo, deputy general manager, lu bingyan, general manager of strategic planning department, zheng shengjun, general manager of innovation management department, li donghai, general manager of hainan energy development research institute, and wu feng, president of hainan digital grid research institute, visited the department of electrical engineering and applied electronics (eea), and the two sides shared their views in in-depth co-construction and cooperation in various fields.
lu chao, deputy dean of eea and xu fei, deputy director of the state key laboratory of new type power system operation and control, accompanied the visit to the laboratory. yu zhanqing, deputy dean of eea and associate professor zhang shuqing respectively introduced the current scientific research work such as the power system electromagnetic environment simulation platform and the power grid hybrid real-time simulation device. ma ningning introduced the history of the laboratory.
at the symposium, wang zhiyong, general manager of hainan power grid company, introduced the company’s focus on the national major needs such as dual-carbon goals and the construction of new type power systems, the needs for economic and social development of the hainan free trade port, low-carbon transformation of the clean energy island, creation of an innovative platform for scientific and technological innovation, achievement cultivation, industrial transformation, and talent training in the field of new type power systems and clean energy, and looked forward to developing industry-university-research cooperation with eea and the state key laboratory of new type power system operation and control, and jointly building an industrialized application base. yang zibo, deputy general manager of hainan power grid company, raised expectations for innovative cooperation with tsinghua university in the field of distributed energy and distribution grids, bringing new products and setting new standards based on the unique tropical environment in hainan. lu bingyan, general manager of the planning department of hainan power grid company, introduced the specific situation and latest progress of hainan power grid’s acceleration in building a provincial-level demonstration base for new type power systems and fully integrating into and serving the construction of hainan free trade port, especially the major innovative “one grid” supervision and operation service platform for charging and swapping in hainan province.
kang chongqing, dean of eea, responded positively and enthusiastically to the expectations put forward by hainan power grid company. he introduced the cooperation between of tsinghua university and china southern power grid in jointly building a digital grid joint research institute and carrying out collaborative innovation under the framework of the joint research institute. he said that eea will support hainan power grid in promoting new type power system demonstration across the island through planning consultation, project cooperation, personnel training, forums and platforms, etc., and contribute tsinghua’s wisdom to the national major strategy of hainan free trade port construction, and he also gave suggestions on accelerating the follow-up cooperation process. lu chao, deputy dean of eea, introduced the discipline construction and latest scientific research progress of eea and the state key laboratory of new type power systems, mainly described the organized scientific research based on the framework of “one department and two institutes, one office and one alliance”, and introduced the preparation for signing a letter of intent for cooperation with hainan power grid on the construction of new type power systems.
