from april 11 to 15, the 46th geneva international exhibition of inventions was held in geneva, switzerland. the teacher teams from the department of electrical engineering of tsinghua university participated at the exhibition and won 4 gold and 1 silver awards.
the "electromagnetic transient analysis and control method in high power electronic systems" invented by the team of prof. zhao zhengming, department of electrical engineering, the "high performance control method for permanent magnet motor and its application in servo system", invented by prof. xiao xi's team, the "electromagnetic internal detector for oil and gas pipeline defects" invented by prof. huang songling's team, and the " wireless charging system for high efficiency electric vehicles" invented by prof. zhao zhengming's team, won the gold award of geneva international exhibition of inventions. the "next generation metal oxide varistors for arresters" invented by prof. he jinliang's team won the silver award of geneva international exhibition of inventions.

founded in 1973, the geneva international exhibition of inventions is one of the oldest and largest inventions exhibitions in the world. it is organized by the world intellectual property organization (wipo), the swiss federal government and the geneva municipal government, aiming at displaying various innovative inventions around the world. this exhibition attracted more than 1,000 new inventions from more than 40 countries and regions, and attracted more than 50,000 people to visit.
