摘要:hydro-québec has published a strategic plan to promote three key objectives: energy efficiency, renewable energies, and technological innovation. as a result, the utility set a forward thinking innovation program which identifies key transformational technologies to enable a smarter transmission grid by 2030.

in the first part of the talk, this innovation program will be briefly overviewed. in the second part, we will discuss recent r&d projects in automation and control while stressing the role our real-time power network simulator lab in the concept-proving of these new concepts.
